Welcome to Maui Fishing Secrets!
Aloha, My name is Armelio Cabatingan. My boat name is the "Rainbow Runner". I grew up fishing here on Maui with my father and grandparents, who fished for a living. Through out the years I have learned different techniques and secrets of fishing. I have been very successful commercial fishing and in tournaments. In this blog there will be bottom fishing, trolling, crabbing, fishing buoys, baiting, using the green stick, baiting and much more.

Fish for Ashley's wedding.......

This is the fish cutting crew, Brother Joey, his son Ethan, Yoshi in the background, Me holding the Ahi tail, Brother Glen in front, My granddaughter Kawena on her daddy B.J.'s shoulders, Brother JR. holding the other Ahi tail and our friend Robby. The one Ahi weighed in at 100 pounds and the other at 89 pounds. We want to thank everyone that came over to help cut the fish and vegetables for the wedding. The poke and sashimi was ONO. Nothing like fresh Ahi.....

We had a triple strike Ono. Only got two. We ended up catching two mahi at the buoy also. No big strikes. We placed 1st in the mahi catagory.
